Hyundai‘s recently facelifted i40 saloon and Tourer estate line-up is now on sale with the firm having revealed full pricing and specs. The Ford Mondeo rival kicks of from £19,600 for the saloon, with the Tourer costing an additional £1,150 model for model. Only one diesel engine is available at launch in two power outputs.
That headline price gets you in the entry-level ‘S’ trim with the 113bhp 1.7 CRDI diesel engine. CO2 emissions are a competitive 110g/km, while standard kit includes 16-inch alloys, aircon, Bluetooth, auto headlights and a leather steering wheel.
Jump up to SE Nav spec for another £2,000 and you get niceties such as a new touchscreen navigation and infotainment system, a rear view camera, parking guidance, a DAB radio, climate control, heated seats and an uprated sound system. SE Nav Business adds keyless start and an electric driver’s seat for another £1,500.
The i40’s flagship Premium trim is only available with the 139bhp 1.7 CRDI diesel from £26,950, and comes with 18-inch alloys, heated rear seats, a panoramic sunroof, lane departure warning and an LCD instrument display. A seven-speed dual clutch transmission is also available on this engine for £1,900.
The tweaked i40 range is available to order from Hyundai dealers as of today.
